Trimet Storage Solutions recently completed a customized storage project for an auto parts distributor in southeast Calgary. The client was managing a wide range of inventory, from small components to large engine blocks, and needed a more efficient way to organize, store, and access parts within their existing warehouse footprint.
The challenge was both space and accessibility. With products varying in size, weight, and use, the existing layout was becoming cluttered and inefficient, making it harder for the team to retrieve inventory quickly and keep operations moving.
To address this, Trimet designed and installed a tailored system using selective racking and a shelved platform. The selective racking allowed for direct access to individual parts, while the shelved platform added valuable vertical storage without expanding the facility’s footprint.
This multi-level approach helped the client improve organization, increase storage capacity, and reduce retrieval times. By using the available warehouse space more effectively, the new system supported stronger inventory management and improved day-to-day workflow.
