Trimet Storage Solutions recently supported a leading building products company as it relocated to a new facility in Calgary. With approximately 50,000 square feet of selective racking, cantilever racking, and banker systems involved, the project required careful planning, coordination, and execution.
The client needed a storage solution that could accommodate a wide range of building materials varying in size, shape, and weight. The project also included a tight relocation timeline, along with the dismantling, transport, and reinstallation of select storage systems from the previous site.
Trimet designed a customized storage approach that combined selective racking for accessible, high-turnover inventory with cantilever racking for longer and bulkier materials. This allowed the new facility to better support product organization, workflow, and storage efficiency.
To keep the project moving, Trimet coordinated multiple installation teams working simultaneously across the site. The team also managed the relocation and reuse of existing storage components, helping reduce disruption while supporting a smooth transition into the new facility.
The result was a fully functional, high-efficiency storage system that improved space utilization, supported operational continuity, and gave the client a stronger foundation for day-to-day warehouse performance.
