Trimet SRetail spaces often need to do more with every square foot — balancing customer experience, product display, inventory storage, and operational flow.
Trimet Storage Solutions and Solico Metal partnered with Build360 on a retail build-out project for Ridley Cycle in Calgary, Alberta, delivering a custom freestanding mezzanine designed to add usable space within the store.
The project came with unique installation challenges. The mezzanine was installed inside the retail space, requiring large steel beams to be brought through smaller door openings using a forklift. Precision planning, coordination, and careful execution were essential to complete the work safely and efficiently.
The final structure added approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of accessible storage space and was designed to integrate with the store’s layout and visual environment. The mezzanine included:
10-foot-tall freestanding structure
125 lbs./sq. ft. live load capacity
20 lbs./sq. ft. dead load capacity
Fire-coated resin deck
Staircase and safety railing
Custom black finish
The result was a durable, functional, and visually integrated solution that supported both storage and retail operations without compromising the customer-facing space.
This project reflects the value of coordinated capability across Cenmax Group: custom structural design, steel manufacturing, installation expertise, and practical solutions built around the needs of each facility.
